What the model does—and does not do
The “No-City table” is a hypothetical model where all Manchester City league fixtures are removed from the season and other clubs’ records are recalculated.
It is not an official table, a proposed sanction, or a prediction of how matches would have unfolded. It does not replay changed tactics, incentives, transfers, injuries or fixture pressure. It offers one consistent mathematical view of a narrower question.
- Remove both City fixtures from each other club's record.
- Subtract points, goals for and goals against earned in those fixtures.
- Re-rank remaining clubs using the recalculated records.
- Mark every output as hypothetical; it is not an official table.
